KENNY MATUSZEWSKI, ESQ. is a registered patent attorney whose practice emphasizes intellectual-property litigation and procurement, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters, both foreign and domestic. Kenny focuses on software, biological, electrical, and mechanical technologies, and he frequently provides freedom-to-operate, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions. He also counsels clients on settlement negotiations, case preparation, and litigation strategy. Representative technologies he has worked on include gaming technologies, vehicle tracking systems, smart home systems, CPAP machines, cancer and opioid addiction treatments, Voice over Internet protocols (“VoIP”), blockchain, microphones, drones, gene therapies, and power tools. Prior to entering private practice, Kenny externed in the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Patent Trial and Appeal Board, where he managed several dockets and drafted opinions on the patentability of a variety of patented technologies.
