MICHAEL FOLISE, ESQ. is a registered patent attorney whose practice emphasizes intellectual-property litigation and procurement, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters, both foreign and domestic. Michael focuses on electrical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical technologies, and he frequently provides freedom-to-operate, non-infringement, and invalidity opinions. In addition to his experience as an attorney, Michael is a certified mediator under Local Civil Rule 39.1 and has served as an expert witness in a variety of patent cases. Michael also serves as a law-school professor overseeing an intellectual-property clinic that is one of the top rated legal clinics in the country. Michael is also a published author (The Inventor’s Handbook (1993)) and has been voted Best of CLE Speakers numerous times by the Washington State Bar Association.
