Bamert Regan mourns the passing of our colleague and friend Thomas Hoffmann, Esq. Tom was an esteemed intellectual-property attorney who retired at Bamert Regan from active practice in trademark litigation and procurement for over 54 years, with a focus on the beverage industry. After his retirement, Tom remained a valuable advisor to the attorneys at Bamert Regan. Before joining Bamert Regan, Tom practiced in France, was a partner in a large international law firm, formed his own practice, and was “Of Counsel” in the Seattle office of another large international law firm. Tom became interested in the wine and beer industries while visiting wineries and breweries in the Pacific Northwest. Throughout his career, Tom taught trademark law, including at the University of Washington Law School. Tom was also a past member of the Board of the International Trademark Association. We are grateful to have benefited from Tom’s knowledge, experience, passion, and friendship, and we hope to continue his legacy of service.
